A small preview of characters done for a game project. It shows
members of the player's Varagian guard and units of the enemies from a
Byzantine mercenary faction.
Hair textures need to be re-done and the enemies are using the same character head at the moment.
Marmoset viewer for the mercenary models will be put up soon.
Star Wars hype had me re-creating Kylo Ren's Light Saber, plus I got to try out Substance Painter (absolutely love working with it). Image is also from the Substance Painter 3D view.
In game you ride one of space fighters and have to kill worm hidding in dunes using lazers.
Game was done in Unity and we aimed for smooth and joyful gliding mechanics. My friend kozun took care of steering, camera movement and whole logic behind space shuttle. Later on programmed nearly whole gameplay. I've figured out wireframe shaders and experimented with shading effects. I've parametrized every detail of dunes and lava look, the world is endless. Then I made space fighter model and painted skybox. At the end I had to rewrite all wireframe shaders since WebGL does not support geometry shaders and update some screen effects since WebGL does not support MovieTexture as well. We had quite busy week and tons of fun working on it. Hope you like it!

Some of it is super hacky, but whatever; it was a good exercise in learning to do unique textures and not just tiling stuff in substance!
