-With the power of Luminous FFXV will far surpase FF:AC
-Another tech demo is planned to be shown at a later date
Your questions to Tabata
Q.What if I mash the attack button instead of holding it down?
A.Even if you mash the attack button the combo will still operate fine and connect together. It's possible to counter while you button mash; if you hold the button down you have to be more careful of the enemies movements and it's more strategic.
Q.Will Type0 HD be available digitally and will it come with the FFXV demo?
A.Of course
Q.Why doesn't the MP show up on the UI?
A.The battle UI is still temporary. When it is complete it will clearly show the MP
Q.I'm a little worried the game will only last 40 hours
A.The main story itself will take 40 hours. Beating dungeons and other actives will make the length of the game much longer
I hope its worth the wait, 8 years and that pain that was seeing ff13 go on and on and on. Its looking great now. And im sure will look even more amazing when it comes out on pc :poly009:
I used to love Final Fantasy games with FFIX being one of my favorite titles. But after FFXII and FFXIII trilogy and a slew of FFVII-related titles I've lost interest in the series. It seemed that they've decided to take it in a direction I wasn't really interested in and to focus on things that I always disliked about the series.
FFXV looks interesting though. Looking at the videos, it doesn't really look all that fun to me, but for some reason I feel compelled to try it. While I may still dislike Tetsuya Nomura's aesthetic choices, I really want to know how an open world Final Fantasy game would work. I guess this time around I can't really accuse the series of being stale. The party dynamic looks interesting too.
That said, boy does this realistic rendering make the character designs look ridiculous. :poly142: I really wish they went with something more subdued, or made the whole thing more stylized.

This was one of the major concern of people after the TGS showing and iam glad they adressed it.
Really liking it and as said iam actually quite okay with Nomuras design. I honestly prefer it over a lot of other designs. And visually the game is insane, but iam afraid that SE doesn't know how to fill an open world with interesting stuff to do. They kind of have reputation to let you do silly fetch quests even in Endgame content. They should play fallout 3 or Skyrim about sidequests and take notes. I mean Skyrim...you walk into a temple touch something, and from there next 5 hours will be spend with a totally random sidequest. But i would say they are on a good way and iam glad they show off their game more often now.
The Lumnious Engine looks pretty crazy and advanced...why did they change to Unreal for KH3? was it just that the dev cycles for an inhouse engine became too expensive to uphold and Unreal Engine would be cheaper in the long run for another 3 - 4 year game development? or is KH3 just more close quarter orientated game and therefor UE4 is better fit?
I still have no idea what this game EVEN IS, but I am impressed by the tech, and the massive scale of the game. The animation is also super impressive.
But seriously, what is this game even about? So far the presentation has been like SE trying to convince everyone that yogurt and bacon sandwiches are AMAZING, and I'm sitting here terrified of trying it for fear of throwing up.
But back to topic, the coming FF might make me get a PS4 if no PC port comes out, the designs are so Japanese and seriously it should be like that, its over the top and that's what FF always kinda was, if its worth it i think yes, will if the game is here.
I'd expect a PC version since they've confirmed they're doing it for all FFXIII titles, not weather its a good port or not remains to be seen...
So far, FFXIII was a mediocre port, but that could improve over time.
It's not a XIII part,it's 15.
Still i heavily expect an announcement close to the release of the demo, simply because the game must be so expensive by now, that they have to push this out every way possible.
Dat hair...lordy...yet we still have people using Phong on hair cards :P
Also, dat water tech. Mark my words, if SE wants to sell a million copies, they should have the guys become wet when it rains, and you can see through the shirt. Tap into that fangirl demographic yo!
The only thing about the trailer that is a buit...unnerving (? for lack of a better term) is the short loop of the background music. I really like that tune but in a 10 Minute video it loops like 30 times.
Yeah, the voice acting is pretty awkward. I can never understand why almost all English VA's in Japanese games and anime dubs must have that certain "sound". I don't know if it's due to the same actors being hired frequently for different projects, or whether they are directed to sound cartoonish or to mimic Japanese mannerisms, but it never worked for me. The voiceovers in western games have gotten a lot better these past few years, but Japanese localisations are stuck in the early 2000's.
I hope they will let us choose the Japanese dub at the very least, although Square doesn't do that very often. Bravely Default has both dubs and the Japanese one is way better.

I always thought dubbing pre-2000s was better than modern stuff. Might be the current generation of actors. The last good dubbing I've seen was Space Dandy. Hell, The Slayers Movies were fucking rad and that was years ago. Dunno why most stuff today is poor.
But that's pretty unusual for square t show their game engines like that. I'm glad they're marketing the game as much as possible. During 6 years, we could only get bribes of info.
I think the overall looks a bit too washed off sometimes, that it lacks vivid color but that's just probably the art direction they went for in favor of realism.
Cindy is like the first featured character, other than the princess, that we've seen whose color scheme isn't BLACK BLACK DARK RED AND BLACK. I like her for that reason alone, and I hope the rest of the cast has more color to them too.

The town looks really cool, too.
Well I really like BLACK BLACK DARK RED BLACK AND MORE DARK RED
I can't hype for a FF anymore that way i can't be deceive by crazy expectation. Honestly I just really can't wait for KingdomHeart3 and bravely second.
Check out at around 25 minutes for more world map gameplay! Them visuals almost looks photorealists sometimes thanks to that magnificent God rays from the sun!
I'm not too sure what to expect from the game anymore, everything looks great but I just find my excitement fading away which is probably due to the huge wait. I'm sure my opinion will change when I try the demo, but as of now I'm not really interested in any of the characters that have been shown off so far. On the other hand, I've been getting a lot more excited for Type-0, it may not look as pretty but it looks like it has the potential to be great.

Here's a better quality of the gameplay video.
So what are you thoughts??
I think it's a buffabadger. I think it's ice skating.
You can probably eat it.

Man, they should ve muted the game jus tle the psone titles for this one haha.
Best dubbing was FF 12. Not only the dubs but the lines were good and didnt sound too cheesy.
edit: let met correct that, the whole voiceover is terrible..-_-
Here's the old tgs trailer with english voiceover...Horrendous..
I bet jap themselves would say the same if R* games delivered them GTA or Red dead dubbed in Japanese...
Amen to that. Just like Ace Combat: Assault Horizon I want to be able to decide my own voice over and subtitle language.
I still remember : " Yaru ja nai ka ! Amerika yaro ! "
I hope they will let us choose the Japanese dub at the very least, although Square doesn't do that very often. Bravely Default has both dubs and the Japanese one is way better.

but FFXII has great style, english voice acting, and art .
a bit unpopular back then due to open world offline-mmo-style gameplay, and little reference to pop culture.

Look great, they may be. Get in the way of gameplay, they usually do.
Well I really like BLACK BLACK DARK RED BLACK AND MORE DARK RED
I am OK with that if this runs 30 + FPS in-game real time.

While i'm sure there will be a delay, i'm sure will will come.
They've released a lot of final fantasy on PC recently.
I see a lot of criticism on this game, especially on the character design but anyway, haters gonna...
For the nostalgic people like me, you can simply watch how the game and character design evolved since 2006 when it was first planned for the ps3.
