I know it's been a long time since I have posted on here. I have been taking the past couple of years focusing a lot more on my personal life and so I haven't been as involved in the 3d community and especially polycount, but polycount is a big reason there are so many inspiring artists and I have to definitely share this here too. Since especially, a lot of the people that supported my tutorials and work were people that found me on polycount I hope you've all been well and I hope I will have some more time to do some personal work soon to get back into it. In the meantime, let me share this post with you.
I've gone ahead and made my older tutorials free for everyone, forever! Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and Happy New Years everyone!! www.gumroad.com/purepolygons
The support I have received from all of you over the years has been huge! To all of those that picked up these tutorials from the beginning and even recently, thank you so much everyone and I hope you've enjoyed learning from them as much as I enjoyed creating them. It's only because of you, your support, contributions, and valued feedback, that I have decided to share these for free now. So from the bottom of my heart, thank you honestly. If you purchased the tutorial at any point in December this month, I will be more than happy to refund you for the tutorial. Pass on the news to anyone you think could benefit from watching these, share them around. No need to pirate and torrent them anymore hahaha
The content has been out since 2016 and I don't want to charge people for slightly older tutorials. Enjoy! - Jacob
i created some grass for testing purposes
(tried to scan grass blades with the scanner build into my regular
printer) but never got around to completely finish it. Since i currently
lack the time to continue working on it and all the time spend on it
shouldn't go to waste i want to give it away to anyone interested.
Some screens:
the
clusters are 25 x 25 units and come with 3 LODS, all
grassblades are fully modeled, some transparancy is used but disabled by
camera distance. As you can see overdraw could be better for the last
LOD. FPS are mostly fine though.
The material contains
the possibility to modify
the blade tip height, multiplied by a grayscale image for irregular
grass. The shader also comes with color variance, which really would
need some work and is disabled in the shots.
due to the small cluster size the grass can be used on pretty much any surface.
Maybe someone has a use for this, the zip contains the content folder with the uassets, just drop it in your Unreal projects content folder.
Hi, I noticed this thread and decided to share some of the stuff I released for free a while ago on my Sketchfab, for anyone who is interested in stylized, low-poly medieval melee weapons for their indie game projects.
hello great work everyone, on my sketchfab profile everything is for download(with the exception that stuff are not ready are not yet for download will be when they are done) feel free to use any of them
all are practice pieces, i am not on the level most of you are but still i hope it will help
all are made in blender and handpainted (in blender)
Wrong section to pimp, here-d.a55. Also thanks for sharing all, i haven't used this thread or its contents at all, though good luck with the more exposure and helping the new people learn stuff.
Edit: SUPER OLD WORKs - if you lost it or something you can regain it now - Compilation of SDK I've collected over the years, lots of stuff might be couple of doubles, 1 or 2 nothing major, lot of stuff idk where it came from, message about removal inside download .rar file : https://mega.nz/#!F6hnXQTA!P4ziCEwUAeI9boH6ITQZtnmAjMCZ2UXjjMHRbakiG0I
^Fast link - The one i know for sure is prior's Glumpf SDK 2003.
Img of all the stuff inside:
Message in rar is basically tell me which is yours to remove, i shared like this because they where once uploaded and given to everyone via SDK at some point so if i still have them others do also.
Over 20 SDK's , they came as is if they do not have uv's its not because of me, its how they were shared.
Most of my personal projects are free to download on my Sketchfab! Feel free to use them for whatever projects. No highpolies because those are a pain to upload.
Some interesting free 3D models here. I personally downloaded models of a dagger and copper key.
Beware though, there's no license displayed, so it falls back to their site license, which is pretty restrictive. It's up to you if you want to risk it.
