I guess that licenses should be included with the art as well. Like, CC0, GPL, etc. This would help game developers, animators and all other creative people interested in using the work, without being worried about licensing.
I also suggest that you guys post your resources to OpenGameArt, they are an amazing group of artists and indie developers dedicated to free and open-source game art: http://opengameart.org

It is a free kit bash set and the original creators have asked to simply be quoted for their original work. These guys create some really awesome artwork! So don't forget any shout outs to them when using it. I figured since it was already free and they were sharing it I wouldshare it with all of you awesome peeps!

Would definitely be awesome if some people started posting up the rigs they've been making from this stuff. I know some of the artists would love to play with some decent rigs.
Great idea for a thread! As a rigger I always have trouble finding good models to work with. I just spent the last few days working on a rig for eddie10sixty6's awesome Robot Engineer. Thought I would keep up with the trend and share it back to the community.
This is a model that was to be part of an epic collaboration project but shortly after it started everyone got super busy, as is always the way. So included are:
Diffuse (don't use this in PBR)
Gloss/Cavity/Height
Glow
.OBJ file
.MA file
.TBScene file
Be sure to check out the toolbag scene for diffuse/specular values (they're just flat values).
the .MA file has some kind of rig inside it. But a lot of the controls seem to be broken in some way, if it's salvageable that would be awesome. Normals were baked in 3dsMax.

I wanted to try out some new rigging ideas I had so I made a rig for gilesruscoe's tiger model. Thought I would share the file and see if any animators wanted to play with it. I would love to see any animations done with it and get some feedback on the rig.
A few people have asked questions about the materials for the lens model I created for my PBR in practice tutorial so here is the TB2 scene and textures for both metalness and specular workflow:
Feel free to use this for educational purposes, as it was created for a Marmoset tutorial, I can't give rights to use this asset in a game or commercial product though. Any questions about usage, get in touch with me directly.

giving away the high poly max file of my SCAR H, for anyone who wants to practice retopo and baking for hard surface props.
enjoy!
i cant really prove its mine other than having a lot of WIP renders of construction, which is probably good enough. i also have multiple witnesses to me making it, as well as stuff in the WAYWO thread, so dont do anything with it except learn!
Thanks a ton for those amazing giveaways guys! Super useful stuff!
I thought I could drop this one in here as well, hopefully materials are allowed since I see mostly models. If not, just remove this post please.
The pack contains 8 full PBR materials and modifiable substances to use with Substance Designer/Player and/or any game engine which supports importing substances! The Materials themselves can of course also be used without the substances!
Thanks for sharing us with such a vital information in this post.Even I too agree with you that 3D Animation images is more powerful than the 2D...
Even in the case of any any successful marketing campaign 3D visualistation has became an inevitable part as it allows to show off a designs to prospective investors or clients...
Hey guys,
I added a bunch of free stuff for you onto my Gumroad page. Some high poly files, some textures, some zbrush alphas and breakdowns from the polycount forums. https://gumroad.com/purepolygons
I would like to share my SSJ Gohan model.
I'm having trouble to rig it (3ds max keeps crashing with the skin modifier.)
Maybe someone else will have better luck with it.
(First charcater model, the topology isn't the best.
If you do manage to rig it, please re share with me.)
I really like hat girl here, her face rig and model is fantastic, and there's a ton of detail in the rig. I just cant quite work out the sleeves, is there some way of pulling them back over the hands that I'm missing? It seems odd to have fully rigged hands and not be able to show them, is all.
But great character man, may knock something out with this one sometime
Great idea and platform for artists to show their skill in the field of animation. I m also addicted to animation and love doing animation. I have also created some characters and the best part about animation which i like is sound and visual effects.
Git it. Restrictions: Don't make money off it. Don't put it in your portfolio. Want to use it for a free game, demo, animation reel, etc.? Whatever! Go ahead as long as you don't claim it's yours and you aren't making money from it.
Hi Swizzle. Awesome share. But the sailor link is not working mate. Can you please look into it? Unless u deliberately disabled it!

Wow love that model, going to use it to practise rigging a bit later in the year, thanks a lot for posting.
