I'm working on making some 2d tiling terrain textures (a lot like Rayman Legends). The strange perspective is in anticipation of the angles I'll need in the final product. I like to start out with a block like this before I start making the rest of the sheet, this way it will always tile with all appropriate pieces (and no seams!)
I looked up a Character Step by Step video by HD Fortress for manga drawings on conceptualizing and realizing a character. So I changed my usual approach to it, and just went all out. Not too much detail here and there, just what I thought was necessary without researching detail here and there.
Will adjust this workflow accordingly in the future.
Well, Have to say this is random. Um, I took my old pose as a reference, added some detail, no detail references. Using the art process from before. I like how some of the lines turned out, It's not Manga styled yet but I think I'm getting closer on the detail side. (I will use detail references in the future.) I was just playing with what I know with clothing folds, anatomical features and the like.
Hello again buds, I drew another concept character. It's supposed to be a villian like character. Took some references from Kenpachi from Bleach, and Olovander's Knight pose and Clothing, Thanks bud for that drawing. The anatomy could obviously be tuned a bit more . Concept Wise I think it is fairly solid. The lines I liked better than my previous but I am still trying to get that manga style I enjoy.
Hey buds, just working on some face sketches for today. Decided to start step by step, first with the details on smaller parts of my OC character as a whole.

I am new to this forum. I came here looking for a pixel artist who would be interested in collaborating with me on a vertical scrolling. The game in my mind is M.U.S.H.A. If you are a pixel artist who can create sprites, tilesets for a vertical scrolling shooter game such as M.U.S.H.A, let's have some fun creating this game this summer. I have a basic game design planned. The game will be in java platform.
@lala0323 What's up bro XD? @Rayph Cool Concepts, Would love to see them realized in 3D (Final Fantasy Thirteen Style)
Hey Buddos, just experimenting with the beautiful art style from Nagato Saichi, on another of my OC characters, after tihs, gonna try it on some of my other character concepts, and see if the style blends with Tite Kubo's for action characters.
Updated the first concept image and started to flesh out the individual assets that’ll go into the level. Also included a shot of the game level and it’s placeholder art w/ HUD.
I took a job recently working on playmats and the like for a card shop that holds a fun tournament series for YuGiOh. After doing a super anime one that I inevitably did not like....I decided to make the next one have the chunkiest dragon I could draw.
He's so chunky.
Hoping to have values done tonight so I can get this image in my graduation art book thing I'm working on
Wanting to say this like 3 days ago but, Lovin the environments, especially the last one, gives off a very Chrono Trigger end of time feel. Love to see those in 3D.
Yo guys, just came up with some dandy sketches I did today. I am going to be working on an RPG soon in RPG maker because I think that I have played all the games that I want to in a lifetime,
imo no other game interests me, gonna be using this art style, and will probably combine this and the bishounen art style. Right after this, gonna create a couple of manga pages here and there to confirm and test my current abilities.
Design brief was for a horrible lich that worships some sort of unnamable outer god. She can steal and manipulate flesh to create monstrous corpse golems. Zdzisław Beksiński was suggested for a strong inspiration.
Initial design exploration:
While the client liked the initial direction they quickly asked for a rescale of the golems to make them more intimidating.
Further exploration:
Once the initial explorations were reviewed the Lich and her little music box got approved for finals.
Found out I can play with screen settings, so I made my entire screen black and white and did a quick photostudy sketch! (randomly picking colours from my b&w colour wheel) this is the result lots of fun to get the big "reveal" at the end.
