I wasn't sure about getting a new console, especially the PS4, but this is really making me reconsider. This looks awesome!
Does anyone remember that video of their Mari texture pipeline? I've found the one from the texture scanning of fabrics on Youtube, but not the other one they released.
Edit: Nevermind, it wasn't a video, but I found it. The PDF is here.
Finally, I have been waiting for some screenshots from this to get posted. I did high/low/bakes for ~70 assets last year and I know of a few other polycount people who did freelance as well.
Best looking game so far for PS4. Love the setting too.
Any word on mouse and keyboard support for the PS4? I'm a PC Gamer at heart and thinking of putting down a deposit for a PS4 and would be good if M&K were supported. I never looked into it for my PS3, but heard it had minimal support for it.
The lighting here is straight up berserk. Observe the metal and fabric texture coupled with motion blur that makes it look really realistic. Even the hair looks good too.
There are still parts that make it look like a video game (i.e when they jumped off the ledge, it stood out as very cartoonish/fake to me). But developers still have many years to do better with next gen hardware and then some.

Yes, that's true it does look amazing! Have been psyched about the game since reading about it in Edge/Games a long while back, can't wait for it.
Pretty much every 1st party Sony game is a must for me. Looks great, awesome tech on display, awesome art team. Hopefully it'll be out this year and play as good as the trailer and screens look.
Looks great, and definitely part of why I'm interested in getting a ps4 later this year. Not sure I dig the idea of games being letterboxed for a more "cinematic" feel, though.
Well, it's public to say this game has a filmic perspective. So, if you like that kind of gameplay you will enjoy The Order 1886. And I believe others will adapt to that idea and enjoy it too. It's a story, just like any uncharted/last of us/etc kinds.
Yeah, the game looks fantastic, but I'm really worried it's going to fall short in the gameplay department, but it's way too early to tell. For now I'll just oogle all the purdy pictures!
The technical aspects of the game are obviously beyond debate. Gameplay wise, if it's a story centric 3rd person shooter with not too many QTE's I'm happy.
It's so good looking but the gameplay doesn't look overly exciting, I'll be getting it just to look at it though so we'll see. I'm sure they'll pull it out of the bag

I'm really hoping that isn't representative of gameplay though, as it was pretty shocking.
