I haven't actually played dishonored yet, but i will be buying it soon. I kinda spoiled it for myself by viewing your thread so much. With the crazy flying whales and what not...
But your awesome art has made me even more excited to play it!
Most of the dioramas in here are basically "model + texture"... instead, it looks like you are exploring the possibilities of sketchfab. And I like what I see
Looks like a great start. You might be able to get away with just a strip of 2-3 polys for the trigger guard if you wanted. Most of it will be covered by the guard's hand but just in case you have one laying on the ground somewhere.
I'll second that. Just curious how big are your textures? I am currently unwrapping mine and have been wondering how big to make mine (specifically the environment ones)
At the moment almost all the props are 64x64. Roofing, brickwork and flooring is all at 128x128. Characters are both 128x128.
A lot of these will get pushed lower res on the final update depending on how good they look at lower resolution. I take into account how big they are on the scene or how often they are in the scene to decide on how big the texture should be. I can post up my textures if you want to have a look at them
