Finally done and uploaded! I sort of know what I'm doing now so hopefully I can pick up the pace next time, I'm hoping to do a full set for next month's competition!
what if i add the workshop thumbnail to first topic on the finished entries? i think it will help to showcase it and if i use the thumbnail it will follow a pattern that id fair to everyone

Its a good idea, but i believe there is a 16 image limit per post. So we could eventually run into issues with that. Which may not be fair to people that finish later than others.
I loved the concept, but I feel the details are too small to read properly.
Mind that DS is a very small character, if there is still time, perhaps you could try giving all the little details more bulk, in a way you can easily identify them in the viewer.
I really want to see this set in store

So, here's another small update on my PA stuff.
I had time yesterday, so I finished the helmet and started the shoulderpiece.
I want to test the hair before changing it, because I can't find anything that would replace it properly, fingers crossed.
I reserved today and tomorrow to sink into this, hope I can finish this until sunday. Hopefully I'll have more progress to show in my next update.
If all else fails, you can just make the plume less detailed like the original helmet's plume. You shouldn't sacrifice all the nice details from your helmet to detail out the plume because from what I can see, the verticalness of the helmet should block out most of the plume from the portrait view anyway. Helmet and Shoulders look great.

nice to know about that limit. that second post could be a good a nice walkaround
@ hopgood : how is the clipping with his pointy noggin when he's running, especially with surge? i had to pull the stuff i had on his shoulders way down as it gets closer to his head because it sweeps back so far when he leans forward and looks front.

It's actually not too bad. But you're right when he surges he changes his stance pretty dramatically. The little noggin part on his head actually clips into the "headrest" part but not out the top so considering it's all top down you never actually notice.
Haha yes, that was a source of inspiration for this item. I find it funny that a supposed General of people from a different dimension just runs around in a loincloth. I've decided that if this item gets in game I could go back and knock up some accompanying armor pieces to go more with the heavy armor theme
Should there be some sort of Collection on the Workshop to showcase each month's entries?
I've been reading up and watching tutorials and anuxi's stream enough that I think I'm going to take a crack at redo-ing my PA hair now. I'll see if I can finish it up before next month starts, I'm excited for all 3 heroes!
Addition to the idea. A link to the collection should be posted in each reddit advertisement/poll post to show the previous month's entries.
+1 on this. visibility means votes..votes means visibility. Polycount, i call upon you to save me from the catch 22!
also...regarding Prophet's comment...there's not really a set format for dropping your finished piece. at least link the workshop page and we'd all like to see some sort of pictues.
maybe next month we can start "formalizing" these things a little bit. it'll help everybody adjust to presenting on the workshop in an appealing fashion...and set polycount submissions apart in their uniformity.
Rubus : I think most of the small details will be readable as noise
You gotta think of how it will read from an "ingame" situation
Allso , some of the stitches doesnt really have any purpose , you gotta imagine how it would work in real life ( stitch holding 2 diferent materials together , or 2 pieces of material)
Hope you dont mind that i drew over your render , but thats what I mean .
Created in the elder days of the Veiled Sisters, this ancient weapon displays the scars of countless enemies seen vanquished. Perfectly balanced and deadly, the Veiled Sang-Kau brings a swift end to victims chosen by the Phantom Assassin.
The process was much easier this time... A big Thank-You to Lennyagony for the awesome guide.
hahaha, i was talking yesterday exactlly about that with Onilolz
i was thinking on two ideas to show on reddit
1- create a collection and give a link to the collection
2- create a single image with the submition thumbnails to post on reddit and give a link to the collection on one of the replies
what you guys think will work best on reddit? the collection link or the image?
im also adding all the items you guys asked to the first page =]
next month i will try to save some posts and make it hidden, i will ask Adam if its not aggainst the rules
Number 2 is probably better. Most posts I make linking directly to the workshop gets downvoted a lot more than ones where I just link to images and put the link in a comment. It's a lot easier to see it all in one image than browse through the workshop too.
@ prophet - i think the brown portions are a little too warm for the character - you might consider making at least some of that more of the cooler gray that's so prevalent elsewhere on her.
regarding reddit: TVidotto, do you need images from us for that? (i dropped my two promo images already, but i can give you something else if you'll need a different format.)

Thanks for the color advice. I agree about the brown - a little too saturated. I have made some changes to those areas and brought the overall color scheme in line with the rest of her... but tried not to knock back the ornamentation too much
Really great model and texture! The only thing that I would change is the blue ornaments color, since they are too blue compared to PA's green-ish shade.

i noticed that too with my posts, and images are easier/quicker to open

dont worry, the workshop thumbnails will work fine, i can make a composition with them ramdomly placed. i will make a test and post here later =]

Rate it, comment it, tear it to shreds!
I'll rework the bracers on my othe OM set, if its done this week I might throw it in aswell for the competition.
sorry for the delay adding the items to the first page, i had some issues with my internet and other personal things
its great to see a lot of finished items, im just missing the link to pakie´s blade
any suggestion for the theme?
http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=140357973
Same format, just add Medusa, Tusk and Skywrath Mage and it's on
Sorry, didn't see your suggestions 'til today. Thank you. I'll have to keep those things in mind for future work.
yesss! i was going to post about that
but we need a voting to have an excuse to advertise on reddit. (or maybe i can just advertise on reddit when we start =])

also: here's my DS set - thanks for the crits on the small orange details - i think it looks much better now.
workshop link
TVdito - if you end up adding images to the first post and want something smaller i made this as well:

that sounds like an awesome idea...
obviously somebody with fairly high visibility would have to set it up *ahemTviditto*
I'd love to see give that hair a second try, too.
My crappy DS helm too!

In the front view pic there's no cape because Blender kept crashing, my PC can't handle too much polygons at the same time in a render with raytrace
By the way, I think it shows well in the back view, so you guys can have an idea of what it will be.
Also, the daggers aren't sculpted in this render because I'm doing them separately, as they will share the same UV space.

Perhaps add a border at the bottom or top for the title so that the text doesn't cover some of the items. (Also, what's with the Void items?)
http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=140101419
looks good, but you missed my banded haunch. :-)
...wait...why is there a faceless void set in this month's comp anyway? i thought it was PA DS or OM?
