March freelance starting good. Repeat customers from Feb.
Hope potential LA client decides to pull the trigger so I can have my first west coast remote gig! LA is tough, man. Lots of cheap people asking for way too much work for crazy low rates.
Had a pretty cool concept for a platformer game concerning a ferret and decided to roll with it considering i'm not going to uni next year and will be spending a lot of time working on a portfolio.
Just banked payment from April's first client and...client's from LA. Yup, years of trying and out of the blue previous source of rejection became a paid gig starting today.
Next personal remote gig milestone, get a client from the UK. Was involved with an old game remake but I lost interest and it's as a volunteer anyway so it doesn't count.
yeah me too magic sugar. I seem to work for a lot of fashion companies these days though.
My current gig is tiring but fun
I just had a client who took 55 days to pay (sucks)

Yup, waiting for payment is annoying. So far I haven't dealt with a very late paying client or somebody who skipped paying the balance that's "due upon completion".
However one issue I have to work on right now freelancing is that I'm too quick to reject potential clients if they hesitate paying my first fee. I believe I missed out on a good multi-gig opportunity upon reviewing a recent email correspondence with a Vancouver company's producer.
Been offered the role of Art Dev Assistant at Rockstar Leeds, actually I tell a lie it was yesterday I received the confirmation but I'm still feeling happy about it today
Grats Dazz! Sitting in a cafe munching awesome caramel shortbread and anticipating joining Sony London next week. Also get to try out the Wildstar beta on the weekend
I remembered that I needed to print out of my holiday bookings, and the office was open so I could. Would have been a bitch to find out when I was finally on holidays (just two days more and I'm off! Weee.)
Dressed as a Tusken Raider for Star Wars day (May 4th) and earned a shitload for charity with my trooper buddies at a local mall. Then we all did a private gig at a wedding reception for a couple who are huge fans. A good day.
I'm making connections, and things are starting to pop a little, towards my current career path. I'm looking to get into sculpting statues, and toys, and such. There's still work to do, but things are looking up. Finally.
