Despite finding out this morning that I won't be graduating from university at the end of this semester (not a game art course) because I need one more second year elective, I've had a wonderful past two days. I caught up with a friend I hadn't seen in awhile, and we're going to meet up later to catch up. Have a party to go to Friday night with another friend. And most of all I get to continue being friends with a wonderful girl from uni; I would've been quite sad if the end of that subject meant seeing her for the last time today.
Also listening to Ne Obliviscaris's stream of their new album, Citadel, which is amazing. Can't wait to see them live in November.
And I've also just realised that a course I've wanted to do since I enrolled is finally being offered in semester 1 2015, as a flexible delivery (online) unit. So I can finish my degree, later than I would've liked, but I won't be held back here for a whole semester just for one course.

Getting to work on the yearly Holiday animation that my company sends out every year. I work in a simulation dept in an oil and gas company, so normally no one sees my stuff, but this goes out to every employee and every customer we have worldwide, so that's pretty cool. And after 3 years, they kinda leave me alone to my own devices and I get to be as creative as I want. Good stuff.
We got this huge outsourcing project with Gen4 level editor, pipeline integration, daily builds, build farm and all the jazz, and it's finally working! PFEW!!!!
Did my bake from what I can remember the same way as I did last project but the baked worked without several hour of fiddling then needing lots of Photoshop after.
wow, crazy to be posting in this topic, but I actually had great sales today. Good way to close out a week. Saturday and Sunday off with the girlfriend. That made me happy and optimistic for the next two days.

Managed to grab a Halo REACH legendary edition collectors box today, statue, game and all, as well as finally finding a decently priced pal gamecube + windwaker, and snagging a comic gig that'll move me to Perth for a month... this is also what's making me unhappy, though. Looks like I'll have to cut back on luxuries this next month till the comic job pays, haha...

The inflatable creatures I designed have been deployed. There's probably not many places in Melbourne to display your art that are more visible than poking out of Hamer Hall.
I got the rest of the week and next week off work and my new graphic card, GeForce GTX 970 4B GDDR5, arrived today, so going to double my power by 2 when its installed. Can't wait.
