Students at the University of Hertfordshire took part in a "Student-Jailbreak" that kicked off last week! Students had to get as far away from the University as possible in 36 hours for FREE to raise money for charity.
The 12 teams set off from the Hertfordshire Studentsโ Union Office at 10am on Friday 6th February and by 10pm on Saturday 7th February, teams had made it as far as Morocco, Czech Republic, Denmark, Scotland, Germany, France, Holland, Belgium and even Chesterfield in the UK
Found a song from my favorite Doraemon's movie from when I was a kid. The song is as beautiful as I remember. And now I can dance 'nightclub 2 step' to it too. I don't understand a word of it, but it makes me happy... and a little sad T_T
Got a job today! Which is a huge relief since I received my two week notice last friday, and my visa only allows me to be unemployed for a month. It's a tremendous relief to not chip away any more days off that scary time limit, and a big confidence boost to get a new job in only a week.
Also, Grand Teton Brewing's Bitch Creek ESB Ale sure feels good right about now.
I prepare some bento for me and my boyfriend ~ I took 2 hours but i feel great ^-^
(Vegetable Nikujaga with grison beef, pork gyoza, pork pandagiri, broccoli tamagoyaki and a salad, strawberry and clementine in grenadine syrop for desert)

That is super cute and beautiful. So much care and attention
I have had a wrist problem for quite a while now, even had a MRI scan for it. Most likely a scaphoid fracture or something else causing a bone in my wrist to cause pain at certain angles. Doctor only saw a lot of fluid in my wrist, claimed internal ganglion and told me to use my wrist less to let it rest.
A month has passed and the pain keeps increasing. I even started looking into digital motion xray, to maybe get in contact with a US clinic to see where the problem actually originates from.
I bought two Razer Deathadder mice a couple of months back, one at home and one at the office. Horrible build quality. Both of them started causing double clicks on random pretty much at the same time among some other issues....
So I bought two new computer mice of another brand a couple of days ago. While I was throwing away the old Razer mouse in my drawer, I accidentally hit my wrist at the painful spot pretty hard... Pain almost completely disappeared! I can now do pushups again, which have been impossible for half a year without my parallettes! Maybe a bone was misaligned, who knows, I just hope it stays like this and heals now.
A thank you goes to Razer for doing shitty hardware.
Makes me so happy when students go on location in London to find interesting places, particularly roof tops, I don't know what it is about roof top shots but I just love them, maybe its because as a kid I always used to love going on top of my Dads hairdressing salons.:)
For example I love this students image, it captures the roof details really well. I like the air-con units with its connection box, the walkway top right, lead boxed cap detail on top of the roof on the building middle bottom, the security camera next to the air con units bottom left and so on, this stuff is like mouth watering eye candy to me
Maybe I need help, this isn't normal to like roof tops so much is it? :poly128:
3d printing and a group of philanthropic volunteers help Abbi live a more normal life. The great thing is that as she grows they can just scale up the design and print another.
I had often heard that whenever one feels low, one should count his blessings. And so when I woke up this morning (with a splitting headache) feeling awful, I got myself a pen and paper and decided to list down my blessings and things that make me feel happy. Paul - the love of my life. Sarah and Timothy - my kids who are my world (even though they drive me up the wall almost every alternate hour, if not more). Long hot showers; simply cant do without them. These virtual pets of mine, which are just like my real pets - got to feed them everyday and take care of them (I can't keep a doggy at home since I'm asthmatic and allergic to dog hair). A job that pays my bills (even if it means working long hours). Great friends who are just a phone call away.
And I actually felt better and happier! All these things, just the thought of being happy and secure made me feel so good today.
