After months of work, learning to program mainly... I finally managed to get my character asset and controller on the unity asset store. Pretty damn happy
done most of the hard work now with the programming done, so if i get any sales i can make a big library of fun characters. If you know anyone who may like to make a game with this please spread the word!
here is a few videos explaining the controller (sorry im not the best pubic speaker!)
Okay, now I want to see you do the rest of the team! Seriously awesome work!
Well, Haikai already did an awesome Sydney Savage, but I think I will do Natalya some day ^^. And maybe the other characters too, I like Deuce and Major Maxim...
Finished a pine tree. The normal thief script was a lifesaver Now I continue making some models for my new hand painted textures. The house is really just a blockout at the moment...
Hey-o! I've been getting some assignments from Joe Harford in order to learn 3D. Currently he's got me working on sculpting beetles. This is the first one out of three. Two more to go!
I just recently got a great job where I get to build a tutorial game. I just wanted to share and say that I LOVE z-brush! :poly121: I'm using it to create art for a faux 3D game and its timeline features are perfect for the animations. Just wanted to share this pic. I have tons more characters/animations, but I can only share whats already been shown on facebook because of the NDA. Hope you guys enjoy!
I am making Misty Mountains from Hobbit as a term project of a graduate course. With Cryengine
Nothing much currently. Just finished a mountain range witihn a 4096 x 4096 level with generic texture.
Hi guys, awesome thread!
I'm trying marmoset2 I love it so far.
Is there a way to get a similar volumetric haze effect with the lights like in the old marmoset?
Hey Steph, you will have a way easier time sculpting that if you break it into separate blocks. Then you can more easy mask and hide parts to get better angles in your sculpt.
Okay I'll give that a shot, I just need to look up a quick tutorial on how to export objects as sub-objects for zbrush. It's been a while since I did that.
New low poly model with some of the hand painted texture look.
I can't seem to get the alpha thing to work on Sketchfab I tried uploading a black and white image to the opacity slot but it just messin up the whole character and a png file didn't seem to work either. Any idea what's happening?
One more WIP shot of my lighthouse scene, got an ocean shader up and running. Its missing a few things and some stuff doesn't work properly yet but overall I'm making progress :]
Been lurking for a while on this thread, and since the year is coming to a close I figured I would post my own WIP that I hope to have completed by the end of the year or shortly thereafter. Found this Arenanet art test that a few people have tried so I thought I would as well. After this piece I'll be diving into new workflows, texture making processes, and all sort of stuff to ring in the new year.
Anyone familiar with the Arenanet test will instantly notice that I made some changes. My concept here is taking the original and adding my own flairs to it. This will be the Black Dragon Emporium, purveyors of the finest fireworks money can buy.
So here are a couple of WIP shots taken from within Maya. There's no lighting on these just yet, so all you can see is the diffuse. The core house is basically done, and right now I'm working on the alpha. After that I'll be going through and working on the additions. I made this so that the house and the extra elements could be separated off with ease, so the base house can be used in different situations. The geometry is independent as are the textures.
I've been working on this M249 SAW for Rust here at Facepunch. It's to go on a Helicopter that I've already done (the M249 was requested, I wanted to do a GPMG:P)
hey guys! still working on the sculpt but did a quick projection+polypaint and a quick skin test inside marmoset 2 since the uv's were already done, going to end the sculpt a bit more on him to bring out some shapes that are not reading very well trough the skin shader and then finalize the head texture, i am thinking of maybe integrating the head into a character but not sure yet. hope you like it
This isn't going bad, think ill spruce up the belt with some pockets or something, maybe get him a holster with a stylized webley revolver or something

@Geck: This is nice. These paintings remind me of Viktor Antonov's HL2 work.

I'm loving it! Though simple lighting makes your metal feels almost like glass.
just beginning on the clothes for my first stylized character, its turning out better than I expected.
Sorry I couldn't made much progress because I had class today.
Today I detailed mountains a bit more:
Aaaaand... Voila ! We have now two rivers connecting to tow lakes !
I played with shaders a bit and result is,.. not half bad I suppose I really need some pointers on this one actually. Any feedback is welcome mates
