Ever heard of Z-fighting ?? If two faces with the same normal overlap.. even when using the same color.. So you better ("simply") follow (or respect) the grid.
@small99 : for what it's worth, IMHO the biggest mistake one can do when attempting a likeness in Zbrush is to get trapped by the habit of shift-snapping the viewport to front view, because *nothing* guarantees that the model of a head is tilted in a way that exactly matches the angle of the front view cam. This then results in oddly squashed features when attempting to match this "not quite front view" to a straight front reference photo.
First three because I'm a big fan of horror games with atmospheres so oppressive it feels like you're brainrotting as you play. New Vegas just because it's my childhood game and a great one.
Thanks Alemja for the heads up. You piqued my interest...will definitely check out Outer Wilds.
Totally, poo. It was the same for me. The kicker for me was getting matched up with just the right type of player to play with where you can be led (or be the lead) to new areas, all without words or text is just brilliant. (kind of like having a good improv partner, i guess)
Mass Effect games are great too! I might get flak, but I thought Andromeda was an exceptional game, warts and all.
I haven't had much free time these past few days but managed to make some tweaks and add some finer detail to the face. It may be a bit too early to do so, but I find that it helps me get a better feel for the character.
