Instead of 'woke' Body Type 1 & 2 or 'trad-wife' Male & Female, Project Nova will feature a brand new nomenclature for the quintessential quintuple A (AAAAA) experience; players may choose between 'Floppy Meat Walls' and 'Never Big Enough' (FMW & NBE respectively), and have altered the character creation window to reflect these exciting new changes. This may or may not be an out of season April Fools joke.
Additionally, the female (oops! I meant to say FMW) automaton is baked and in UE5. Needs metallic and roughness maps, as do all the races. Work was also done on the NBE automaton this week.

Very nice.
In terms of finest details, the fabric elements could perhaps be further differentiated from one another for instance by giving one of them a visible texture (like a mesh fabric) - but only if the resolution/target art style allows of course.
Also, more elements could benefit from graphic weathering similar to what you have on the sides of the firearm handle, to represent dirt. For instance at the bottom of the sleeping mat cover and on the pouches, as if the item had seen some action going through mud and water. Such dirty (matte) surfaces would also allow you to break up the specular a bit.

The idea is that each artist (or team of two) will create their own WIP thread. In fact, it's kind of required. Or were you thinking some shared WAYWO-style show-your-latest-work thread?

Another business decision that impacts the desire to switch from in-office to remote: some cities in the U.S. offer tax incentives to businesses that fill office space in their municipalities, because all those workers need lunches, gyms, haircuts… local business stimulus y’all!

Here's the description of the situation and the solution I applied.
First, I created low-poly and high-poly models. Because the high-poly sculpt was very heavy, I used only one instance of the objects for baking onto the low-poly overlaps and trims. This caused a problem with the AO map: on one hand, it recognized the presence of the high-poly, but on the other hand, it wasn't actually there, so the AO didn't bake correctly in those areas.
Solution:
I duplicated all the high-poly objects the necessary number of times to fully assemble the object. Consequently, the scene became 4 times more loaded... But nevertheless, everything is now baked properly, and all the trims and overlaps I used tile seamlessly.

Thank you to everyone who took time to offer feedback on my models and also provide informative resources these past few weeks. Our class project has finally come to an end and this was my first time doing low-poly modeling! It was inspiring to see what you all have created and I definitely want to explore this art style more in the future. I hope to be posting more personal projects here over the summer!
