This is a project I have been working on for a while. It began as a turntable model idea that later evolved into a full map in UDK. Software Used: -Autodesk Maya -ZBrush -Photoshop -Unreal Development Kit I cant wait to see your guys feedback :)
Hey guys, this is a UDK project I've been working on. It's still a work in progress but I'm open to suggestions and criticism, let me know what you think. Current Progress: Concept:
I've been having these problems with the shadows in UDK. On the meshes they are giving off like a weird lines problem (don't know how to explain it well). They are also really jagged. The farther I get from the mesh or landscape the worse it gets and the closer it gets better. Here are some pictures I took.
Going to finally stop post lurking and finally start my own project, having a go at this concept in UDK along with modularity in mind, this thread is mainly about me learning new techniques in level design as well as modelling and sculpting, so critiques will help. Concept by Marco Caradonna Planning stage:
This is my going to be my first attempt at a full UDK level. Seems like a big feat but I'm ready to take it on. Down below is a very simple Photoshop map of the forest layout. I am sketching up a detailed one at the moment and will be posting that shortly. Layout_rough: Rocks (so far): Zack Dembinski

Hey to, I was wondering if anyone knew a way to avoid pitch black shadows in UDK? Currently, in the editor I have Precomputed Lighting which works, but once I jump into "Play", it stops working. Anyone have any ideas?
Hi all, have run into a problem while importing this mesh into UDK. The railing has done something that I'm not sure how to fix. Have tried importing multiple times. Mesh made in Maya 2014. Any ideas? Thanks!
