It turns out that personal projects really seem to slow down when you're busy raising twins ;) So, the mood/atmosphere/story targets have all been adjusted since I first began. I'm now heading for more of a foggy evening, near blue hour, with a few snow flurries in the air, and snow on the ground (and everywhere else).…
Hi! Does Painter give any warnings? From the baked texture it looks like just one element was baked and the padding is flowing over to other islands. Do the high and low-poly meshes line up in the baker preview? In your description you write of prefix, I'm used to identify by suffix (as is the default ). If meshes can't be…
CGTrader is a new site that provides artists with 100% royalties from the sales of their items - yeah, that's right... 100%. Now, you may think there's a catch (isn't there always?) but all you need to do is "rent a space" for your item to go in the marketplace which is a one time fee. Sounds like a pretty fair deal to me.…
Development over time just works against you: 1) the past is past. We care what you can do NOW 2) we expect you to be flexible and pick up new stuff quickly. All that a "development over time section shows" is that you may be too slow (you have no idea about some of the crazy real world requirements - not saying they're…
I didn't know you could use the playblast method with render layers, if you can I guess it saves a little time fiddling with the contour shader settings. If it can't work with render layers then I lose the convenience of having the wireframe already as a layer in a psd for me. On another note about rendering out…

So I hope you won't mind if I post it here instead and I update it here , couse I would really like some technical assistance or guidance to develope my project…
You seem to have it slowing into the land before it even touches the ground. Make sure it accelerates up until it hits the gound plane and then slow into it. It might be what I'm seeing is just the effect of the shock absorbing legs, but its kinda hard to tell from the low fps.
Thanks for the critiques and advice everyone. Very helpful and much appreciated. I set out to do a "sci fi corridor scene". A project showing a corridor leading to a room. Displaying high to low poly modeling, modular work flow, a handful of hero props, shared textures etc. My take on it was building it with in an old…
Any good difference between the Litestep and this? I've been looking for a third source desktop theme that does not show many icons on the desktop. *something I do on a very very rare moment when I have time.* Also doesnt this make your computer run slow? http://www.ls-themes.org/screenshots/first-attempt-at-a-theme I just…
I've been following it on Netflix, at first it's easy to discount as a silly show, but the plot is getting pretty interesting and the characters are showing some depth, the sword play is decent although sometimes the crazy blood and the overuse of slow motion during action makes it is a tad cheesy.
