CGTrader: Show me the money!
CGTrader is a new site that provides artists with 100% royalties from the sales of their items - yeah, that's right... 100%. Now, you may think there's a catch (isn't there always?) but all you need to do is "rent a space" for your item to go in the marketplace which is a one time fee. Sounds like a pretty fair deal to me.

just kidding! I just have this single model there, though, haven't sold 1 copy, haha! And it's not a bad model, I guess people just don't want it, or haven't seen it...

I wouldn't call it greedy. It is more of a will to get 100% for your professional services, "pay rent" for publicity and support your clients. In contrary, commission model is quite irresponsible, because sellers are not allowed to interact with customers.
