illumisanic I wonder if this plugin allows to paint textures with per pixel precision ? I.e. paint a one pixel wide lines or shift decal detail exactly 1pix left/right? including on non-square textures?
It's looking great man. I only have a couple of minor critiques... First, in the pose you have him in, he looks a little off-balance. Maybe put him in more of a steady stance.. more of a hero pose? And if you want to make him look a little more imposing, maybe bring the camera down just a little further towards the ground?…
well you might heard that Ascaron went bankrupt again, and it illustrates very well how the general german game scene stands. I know one previous co- worker of Ascaron and he has no bright stories to tell how working there was. Lucky for him as he left them on the right time and founded his own company. At times they…
There are things that can assist you. The wiki has everything you need, and a whole lot more: wiki. I put some stuff below that might help. Some of these points dont relate directly to your work above but are general to keep in mind. 1/ Anatomy: That is really the first thing with figures. A good practice is to start your…
Yeah AO is not a real world thing. AO is a rendering hack we use because realistic lighting is far too expensive to render in real time. The ideal use for AO is to be used in a shader that multiplies on the ambient light as Farfarer notes. In Toolbag 3, the AO slot multiplies on the ambient (image based lighting) diffuse…
Thanks for the responses everyone! Thanks Eric! :) That's a great point and it’s something I am learning now. On a positive note, I am having a lot more fun now that I get to work on my own things, even though I am making negative money doing it lol… Zetheros, I still don’t know how bad it is. I just interviewed for a few…
A directional light with lots of bounces, plus volumetric fog. You'll also notice maybe half the classroom has a window. Everything to the right and behind the camera doesn't have a window to let light through. The blinds/window pieces casting shadows helps.
Hopefully this is right place for this... So, i'd like to know what are nice vegetation/tree/plant software kits or plugins that you may recommend as "light" solutions aka model output doesn't eat much RAM etc. I know that obvious recommendations are Arbaro and NgPlant, but perhaps anything else? Maybe with more…
The blood stains are looking really good, the variation of colour depending on the surface looks about right (bright on whitish jeans, dark patches on weathered metal, etc). I don't know if its just the lighting, but in the front render the guy's right shin is looking weird, like its flat and blurred. What might look cool…
