Have you actually replaced one? I'm under the impression you can buy the *smooth* surface to replace the paper-like one if you dont like it (to stop nib wear) but you cannot buy replacement surfaces with the texture feel. There seems to be black and clear surface sheets - whats the point of that of having that difference?… -

Update for the weekend. Replaced most of the blockout for more detailed and modular geometry. Temp uv's are on the new game meshes and stuff still to replace is solid colored. Once I finish replacing what's left of the blockout I'll model/add some props then move on to texturing and any high poly geometry I need to make. -

I think Ashervisalis has a point. Although the statue breaking animation is fun, I think it's a bit too much. Whenever I see broken statues, the torso is usually in one or two pieces, and the breaks are only around the weak points like neck, elbows, ankles wrists, etc.. Also fewer breaks would more easily show off the work… -

Trim bevels on mesh with Weighted Normals
Hey everyone. Some time ago i saw a technique to bake a 45 degree bevel on a normal trimsheet to fake the illusion of a bevel on a mesh with a hard edge. i did a laptop as my only workstation at home for a few years. if its going to be your only workstation at home imo you have two options. get the 17 inch. 15 is just to small. it gets really annoying after a few hours constantly moving menus and windows around. get a 15 and and a nice 21+ monitor. this is the setup i had.… -

I think there is an option to 'replace existing vertex colors' or something when you imort. Don't have UDK here at work so I cant confirm where it was. I think it defaults to off. If you just re-import the model by right clicking it I think it'll default to not replacing vertex colors. You'll have to manually re-import… -
