im having trouble posting an image

ive read the forums info on posting your image URL multiple times, and have done my best to follow what its asking me to do. however i still am unable to post my images, so i know im missing something.. could anybody lend a hand?

my current process... open my image on my desktop, drag it onto my web browser (or onto the polycount page in the reply section, just in case that worked), it pops up a new page containing a URL that ends in .jpg. i copy that link and past in on the "attach image/file" link here on the reply pages. after doing that, and hitting send, it appears that i never linked any image or files to the page.

if you see the step that im missing and want to post a reply, id be hugely grateful! Thank You!

oh... and can images only be posted in the first comment on an original post? or can replies contain images?

just for kick n giggles, ive pressed the "attach image" link in this reply, and i now see a "DROP IMAGE" box! why is it that i cant see this box location on my personal post for the PC-CS:GO competition?..

Do you have the image file saved on your desktop? And you can post anywhere, in the original post or replies. Hence:

All I do is click on the little bent page icon at the top of your reply/initial post, click on "Choose Files", and select the image from whatever location it's at on your computer. Note, this is a .jpg, I'm not sure if polycount only allows certain file types to be displayed, but it wouldn't surprise me if they put limits on gigantic file sized images like .bmp, ect.

There are three ways to embed an image in your post:

    1. Save your image onto your computer hard drive, open the folder where the image is, edit your Polycount post, and drag the image from your computer folder into your post editing field.

    2. Save your image onto your computer hard drive, edit your Polycount post, click on the Attach Image/File button (bent page icon), click on Choose Files, find the image in the folder on your computer, click OK.

    3. Upload your image to the web host somewhere, like Imgur etc. Copy the full URL of the image. This URL must start with http: and end with the image extension, .jpg or .gif or .png (we recommend jpg). For example: http://i.imgur.com/qobP07W.jpg  You can usually get this URL by right-clicking on a web image and choosing "Copy Image Address" or similar, each web browser is slightly different. Then edit your Polycount post, click on the Attach Image/File button (bent page icon), and paste your image URL.

If these don't work, please let me know.
