Hey guys! Just wanted to share my very first game environment based on a concept by Roman Avseenko (https://www.artstation.com/artwork/KaPAWX) I decided to go with something simple to recreate because the goal of the project was to learn basic UE4 toolkit, things like texel density etc and how to create simple materials in…
hey, so with all the hype around UE4, I've been seeing and reading about how much one can do with blueprints. At some point I figured that maybe its easier to list what you CAN'T do with blueprints? Ideally I would love to hear what kind of games is no-no to do with blueprints. Thanks.
I'm not sure how to model a big level for UE4. Every time I try to do a blockout in Maya for a big level skeleton, I loose the sense of scale so quickly, it looks ugly in the end. And proportions are completely off. Anybody have a good advice? I could really use it. I'm kind of stuck here with the project.
What is causing these shadows to repeat themselves in every instance in my modular mesh? It looks fine until I build. I made my own lightmaps in Maya and ue4 is using them. All edges are snapped to grids etc. The maps are good to go... What other factors could be causing this? Thanks so much, -Trav
This is a small cave environment i'm working on using it to try out some different things i'm interested in trying out out some landscape creation techniques and learn a bit more about working with water in UE4. If anyone has any feedback or can direct me too some awesome tutorials for this kind of stuff id appreciate it :)
Hello everyone! This is my new project for my portfolio, a UE4 Environment based on the Concept Art from the Artist Dennis van Kessel. The softwares I'm using are: Maya, ZBrush, Substance Painter, Substance Designer, and Unreal Engine 4.
Been working on an environment made in UE4 with dynamic lighting. More images and video on my artstation. Check it out! https://www.artstation.com/artwork/1Pr48
