Just a quick question. If two-sides of an object that are identical, share the same UV space, yet have different material IDs, will the materials I apply to the IDs be different, or the same because they share the same UV space.
Hi ! The material preview of Maya, on a sphere, is really boring, I could not recognise my 128² tex on spheres. Is there a way to show materials on other premitives or just on a plane, in the Hypershade ? I searched but didn't found anything.
Not sure how it's called exactly, multi-material maybe. It's what I described above, you just have the add the different materials to your mesh and then apply each material to the faces in edit mode. Nodes are setup individually for each material, they don't influence the separation,

Hey, I was looking around for some other mudbox materials, and I can't seem to find any. The ones that come shipped with mudbox don't please me all that much. I'd love the bronze material that zbrush has. Although I doubt it's available in Mud. If anyone knows of any, that would be great! :)
