Loads of plugins and info on yt. Making hair is a bit fiddly. Some of the plugs: xgen, ornatrix, hair tool. Im using Hair Tool for Blender atm and its really very good. I'm also going to have to put it in UE4. There are loads of vids on that.
Here's my likeness of Christopher Lloyd/Doc Emmett Brown done after about a month working on him. Sculpted in Zbrush, texturing done in Substance Painter and rendered in Vray. The hair have been done with Ornatrix.
This is not for a game. Looking for high quality models. Knowledge of Ornatrix is a plus. The concept needs to look almost real world. Knowledge of Unreal Engine is a plus not necessary. Will pay your rate (if not too far out of the budget).
i think it's fair to say there is no quick solution to make anything to a high standard. ;) for hair generation you could look into getting a head start with fibermesh or perhaps ornatrix and xgen though. it will not save you from managing lots of hairplanes and hand tweaking them though.

Hi everyone, i have been working on this likeness of Doc Emmett Brown/Christopher Lloyd from Back To The Future for the past month , a tribute to one of favorite movie and character.Sculpted in Zbrush, texturing done in Substance Painter and rendered in Vray. The hair have been done with Ornatrix. Hope you like it.
I’m a really big fan of this character, so it was a pleasure to sculpt. My goal was an old and tired Hulk facing you. It was sculpted and hand painted in zbrush, exported to 3ds max, groomed with Ornatrix and rendered in Vray. More definition and images here: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/bW03a Hope you like it! Cheers
