Latest Game Informer had a really great interview / preview about the game with the designer; actually just showed the article to the family I'm stayin with up here in Canada, totally turned their opinion of the game 180* after what they'd heard about it from the "media".
thanks for sharing your work, mysticcoder. version 1.2 didn't work for me in Vista 64 Ultimate, but your 1.3 update works great! (tried to send emails to both the email in your readme.txt and the one from your website and both bounced, by the way). cheers! :)
for those who haven't seen it yet, we released episode 11 last week :) http://www.thegamedevcast.com/thegamedevcast-episode-11-post-e3-silence-mattricks-180-and-indie-games-are-chemical/ this week's Indie Game of the Week is called "The Forest", can can be found here: http://survivetheforest.com/
You can read about it here from post #113 http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?t=128126&page=5 Most probably this guy is a common scammer and there are no bots. Even if they were at the end things are accepted by Valve alone, so number of votes don't matter so much.
Your RAM isn't the bottleneck, it's your video card. The majority of the viewport rendering is done with your graphics card. I'd recommend getting a video card with at least 1GB of memory. You can find a pretty damn good one on newegg.com for about $180-$300 depending on your budget.
Well it's it's about 50 bucks per statue, I bet the life size portal gun (they better make one) will be like 180 bucks and there will only be 100 made, meaning it will sold out before I manage to type in my credit card info. I want a Red Pyro.
Hi! Yes, it's the "Mark Sharp" command. With objects that have angles of various degree, I like to set the autosmooth to 180 degrees (all smooth) and then manually mark edges sharp where it's necessary. Due to the Auto Smooth angle in the "Object Data Properties" panel being greyed out in your image, I think the mesh might…
This was my second attempt at modelling and texturing a Great Helmet. I only learn't how to paint "decently" in photoshop pretty recently even though I have been modelling for awhile. I'm using the Skin modifier and it is working fine except for one part. The vertices from the neck seem to flip the mesh in 180 degrees when I rotate the model backwards (even with the smallest angle possible). The strange thing is that it doesn't happen when I rotate forward. Anyone know what can it be? Thanks in advance!
Made this model for some practice. It's based off of concept art I just found via google images: http://fc00.deviantart.net/fs18/f/2007/143/6/7/Assault_rifle_by_jimsvanberg.jpg I'd appreciate any critique. :) Normal and AO bake only Ortho View Normal and AO bake with Wireframe 2246 polys Made in Blender 2.49.
