I think the shapes and silhouettes are pretty good. It would be very interesting if you have these kind of rocks http://images.nationalgeographic.com/wpf/media-live/photos/000/008/cache/arizona-rock_824_990x742.jpg http://www.smashinglists.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/Red-Rock-Canyon.jpg…
When I just tried it I enabled the Use bake set override. Went for Color and Light. Set my desired texture format, resolution and padding. Made sure my blinn and lambert had their diffuse values to 0.0 (won't receive light) and their ambient values set to 1.0 (uniformly full bright).
I am trying to hand extrude (aka not use the control widget that pops up) and it will not let me do so in small enough intervals. I'm using 2013, and i do not have snapping on, even turned it off in preferences and set to 0.0 just in case. Anyone have this issue or have any idea how to fix this problem? thanks.
We are in need of a new texture artist to skin our weapon models for our mod. I will be paying per completed model (payment will be discused between me and the artist interested). Textures will need to be set up in a HL2 format per this tut: http://battletechmi.com/index.php?name=PNphpBB2&file=viewtopic&t=170 If…
Hello everybody! This is my first time posting in this forum so I want to introduce myself, I'm a self-taught 3D artist from Peru, I would say I'm a beginner because I've been modeling for over 7 months now, mostly learning through tutorials and after making a lot of small and low poly props I've decided to challenge…
it will if you're baking both sets to 0,0 -0,1 in uv space. how are you going to bake a texture into a channel zbrush doesn't understand? it looks like you're getting both sets of normals baking onto the same texture. I would suggest spilitting the head off from the body and try two separate bakes.
Thanks :) Might look over the metal if I can find the time for it. Time is really starting to feel sparse... Went over the tank and softened the bevels on some areas, thanks for the feedback. Btw, does anyone know how many polies that are used for a next-gen tank? Was thinking of going between 30- 40 000. Is that to much?
Wouldn't doing a double chamfer get the same results as inset by smoothing group? (Well not the same, but similar.) Chamfer - Tension: 0.5 Segments: 4 From Smoothing: Unsmoothed Chamfer - Tension: 0.0 Segments: 1 From Smoothing: Unsmoothed Edit Poly I tried it on Fansub's demo model and it looks very similar to the…
i really like the idea of this creature ! but you should read this pic because there is some stuff that you need to know :) http://fc05.deviantart.net/fs70/f/2011/071/4/c/3d_geometry_tutorial_by_bobbie_the_jean-d3bh66u.jpg if you already kno all of these few things, you can blame me ^^, otherwise, very good start :)
I agree with above. I had a ATI card I believe the 5870 and I had problems with it, from drivers to just performance issues. I went with a gtx 680 and its been amazing. I think you should get either a 580, 660, 670 or 680. Just my opinion. Good luck!
