I would say 10 years to be excellent( ish) I thiink i started in about 2006 with an early version of zbrush. some people pick it up insanely quick though -

Have you tinkered with the camera clipping planes? Are these assets VERY far from 000 in these shots (like transforms over 10k)? Failing that, check the meshes for doubled faces or edges maybe. -

The problem with lead free solder is that stresses will cause the tin in the solder to break apart and must have another metal to prevent the "tin wiskers". Lead was implemented for this, but was banned in some countries in 2006.
