Meth use is like no other drug imho. Plenty of Folks look just like this when I shop locally now at Walmart and Safeway, really, very intimidating and fearful. Totally different from the pot Users of the 70's & 80's and beer Drinkers.
I started an animation a few years ago and, now that we're all self-isolating, would like to use the time to finish it off. It's currently about 70% complete. I'm looking for a strong character modeller to build a single model for the film. The model needs to be a caricature rather than a photorealistic person.
This is my WIP thread for the Classified M4a4. New to skinning, but not new to anything art! I draw and paint in my free-time and find joy in elaborate projects such as this. Stay tuned! Any and all critique when pics are posted will be great. I'll be taking color inspiration from the 70s film "Inframan"
I wanted to do something in more of the 70's style cream and beige plastic look with greeble and decals. I've got the colour scheme about right and I've started adding some greeble which I plan to bake down: Ref/moodboard:
UPDATE: Hey Guys, with school starting I've started working on a High poly vehicle assignment. I'm about 70% done the whole vehicle. The concept has a turret on the back. Still working on nice lighting so sorry if the shots aren't all the great. Crits and feedback are welcomed :) Here's the Concept:
Spent a semester modelling a departure waiting room for a civilian space station. Art direction styled after 60s/70s Soviet brutalist architecture. Getting into the final detail pass, any feedback is welcome and appreciated. Artstation link: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/mRQrv
I'm soo hoping that this will allow me to dump standard rendering for at least 70-80 percent of my needs. Are there soft dynamic shadows in TB2.0? How about some nice glass example? Can we see higher res, 8K or something like that, version of this image?
They're both attached to one code so ill go $70 if that works? Essentially paying $35 for each. I'm trying to help pay for the card itself lol. I was planning on getting a 760 but saw the 770 instead and one thing leads to another etc :P
@Deathstick yeah i think fit all the props is gonna be a nice challenge. But i 'm sure it's gonna be fun to play with lot of different materials Plus i want it to be in the late 70's to give a nice touch to it And thank you for the ref those are pretty interesting !
talking with some other artists, decided to redesign this area. Previously it had a 70's scifi vibe that wasn't really what I wanted. Still touching up some of the finer details, i.e. edge scratches and lighting. Any comments and critiques would be very appreciated.
