Texture stretching = If the UVs are distorted, the texture pixels will be distorted, they will not be square pixels. This looks like stretching, because the pixels are thin and long, and look blurry. This makes it very hard to paint good textures.
Hi! I am modeling some environments in XSI and having problems with texture pixel consistency. By texture pixel consistency, I mean the size of texture pixels being equal on different poygons. What I do is create the meshes, then unwrap and apply some textures and adjust the UV sizes by hand. But there will be hundreds of…
I love pixel art too. I love pixel art fused with low poly. But Slum's right, with so much awesome pixel art out there... why that image? Why not something like this?
Thanks, Marks for clarification! For some reason I thought that 1 bit alpha (or alpha-testing) can define/separate opaque and completely transparent pixels and therefore tells render not to "check" pixels behind those where alpha is 1. But in the case of alpha-blending - the render will "check" pixels behind all the pixels…
Hey guys, my girlfriend is working on a project for film doing some paintings in photoshop. She's working with rectangular pixels for widescreen using Pixel Aspect Ratio Correction and all is working fine, except that the Liquify tool is not adjusting for the pixel aspect ratio. The image is being shown in square pixels…
Hello, if this is in the wrong section I'm very very sorry. I'm relatively new to Maya and am working on texturing a low-poly bicycle with a low-rez texture. I have tried to use pixel snap to align the UV edges to the pixels in my texture. My problem: -If I align the UVs to the pixels in the UV editor and I can see the…
Thought this was worth sharing..awesome looking game Narita Boy -The retro futuristic pixel game https://ksr-video.imgix.net/projects/2766481/video-749991-h264_high.mp4 https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1068694633/narita-boy-the-retro-futuristic-pixel-game/description
dude, it's called "pixel picking" when refering to 3d in motion (pixelation is all about resizing). where by the texture is detailed, or using single pixel thickness lines and so on, and the hardware is choosing which pixels to draw to the screen. IE: "Picking". It appears that the more blurry the texture, the more of an…
