They boys over at Crytek had a GDC session where they talked about "Spherical Blend Skinning." Basically it's a skinning method that takes into account an underlining muscle or bone structure so that the mesh doesnt collapse into itself. My question to you is, have you heard of "Spherical Blend Skinning," and have you…
This is due to the way UV coordinates work. It's a linear interpolation from vertex to vertex, and you're basically trying to smoosh one end. All games suffer from this "problem". To avoid this, create a cone texture, and UV it flat.
I'm not sure if it's possible but it would make some things easier to block out. What I'm looking to do is quickly block out an arm using 2 cylinders and I'm trying to make it so that it flows like this: Shoulder width -> Elbow width ; Elbow Width -> Wrist Width I can definitely just build it up / push it down and make it…
You operating system attaches a color space to the image, if you choose in Photoshop not to do it. Anyways, this doesn't change if the image is linear or not. It's not Important for being linear what color space is being used. You can have Adobe RGB in Linear, sRGB in Lineae and so on... I hope I could help you ;)

I found this article pretty informative, about how to spot AI fakes, and whether it's ultimately a losing battle (or not!). https://www.science.org/content/article/deepfakes-are-everywhere-godfather-digital-forensics-fighting-back One thing I found a little bit annoying was their reliance on perspective lines to help…
The thing that bother me about this is that games like Gunstar Heroes was very lineary and heavily scripted. However, when people play "open" non-linear games like Deus Ex and Skyrim, they complain about the fact that the gameplay (boss fights) aren't scripted and linear. That's because you're playing the wrong type of…
this is either a colorspace issue - make sure you're outputting raw from painter and importing linear to blender (i don't know what blender calls it) a tangent basis issue - make sure your model has the same tangent data and triangulation for both the bake and the render meshes. if you're using fbx there's a tickybox for…
I was wondering if anyone knows what tool, starting at 1:40, is being used in this video: [ame=" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nXn2Y7o8rvE"]Week 17 Pin-up Speed Painting by DrakePin-up - YouTube[/ame] I don't really use the Pen tools in Photoshop, maybe its something to do with them?
I saw a while ago on that discussion about griefing in MMORPGs that some of you guys played Lineage 2. I just picked up the game myself, and I was wondering if any of you still play, and on what server. I just created my first character (An Orc by the name of Noacyl) on Lionna, but I don't really know anyone on there yet…
