Starting a sketchbook here to get some feedback from others Some recent stuff Working on this right now I find myself wishing that I didn't have to focus on making a bunch of finished pieces for my classes and could do more studies/practice. I feel like I'm stagnating and not learning anything
It's 2011. Is it even practical to optimize by packing different non-tiled textures into one image for many effects (billboards, decals etc) anymore with today's hardware? What I also want to know is how the performance gain is on portables these days as upposed to separate unique textures used. What about the mipmap edge…
Hey Guys, I'm doing a speed sculpt to get some practice on working off facial concepts. I'm using a massive black concept for the character Kreel. I've put about 2 hours into it and was hoping to spend at most 4 hours. Can I get a little feedback, to make sure I'm on the right path? Appreciate it.

Rigging I am comfortable with but could probably use the practice making rigs. Also suggestions for animations to do would be appreciated. Walk Animation

@Alex Javor I don't think the modelling of this car is portfolio worthy, even with more time spent texturing. I'd suggest pushing on and starting a new vehicle, while practicing sub-d, multiple meshes, even distribution of polygons, and more complex shapes.
