Hello everyone, there must be a way to do this in maya! I have files with came with objects attached to the existing rig, I will be replacing some objects and if I could view all the joints of a specific object it would save me a ton of time! Thank you very much.
I keep seeing reference to Cuggnuts uv tools for max in lots of threads, but the site doesn't exist anymore. Does anyone know where I could download the tool from? Alternatively, is there another tool that has replaced it? I've already checked out TexTools. Thanks in advance.
Hi All Anyone know if its possible to combine poly objects in Maya (2013) but keep the original objects naming, instead of replacing it with a new one. For example and objected called "table1" combined with "legs1" becomes "Polysurface937434343". Any way of keeping it to say "table1" for example. Thanks

I'm still a bit new to texturing. What is used the most in the industry, what will be the best money spent. Is hand painted texturing being replaced by generated materials in AAA, is it a better investment to move into Quixel? Should I just use plain old Photoshop? Is 3D coat better for texturing than Photoshop or…
While I don't think this will replace the need to have artists, this is still fairly cool. Some pretty decent results as well (but that storm drain is not a good example at all.) What do we think of this? Pretty cool tech but I don't see it replacing any of the tools we use today. Not now anyways. [ame=" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oie1ZXWceqM"]3-Sweep: Extracting Editable Objects from a Single Photo, SIGGRAPH ASIA 2013 - YouTube[/ame]
http://gizmodo.com/5461150/wacom-intuos4-is-completely-wireless http://www.wacom.com/intuos/wireless.php This is pretty sweet and about time. Not sure I'm ready to go out and buy one to replace the Intuos 4 I already have, but definitely a good step in the right direction. Now only if they could manage to do this with a…
I have latest Substance Designer and Marmoset, when I load a sbsar into marmoset the exposed parameters are there but changing them doesn't make a difference. I'm guessing it's marmoset not being updated to the latest substance nodes? It uses nodes such as floodfill, would be a shame if I have to replace them to get this…
Hm. The poles of the UV spheres could be the problem. They are hard to tesselate. I remember that Sculptris had this problem too. But again just a guess. I haven't installed ZBrush anymore. Try to remove the two poles at the UV sphere, and replace them by grid fill. When it works, voila :)
