Sometimes when searching for ref images on google, under very specific search terms, you run across a totally unrelated image that just makes you go "wtf is that all about!" I was browsing for "Bullet proof vest" and this popped up making me couch up coffee! :poly124:
Is it just me, or are the forums somewhat compressing images posted in threads? Not when the image is re-sized to fit the borders of polycount, but when you enlarge them to the "original" size, they are losing detail, I've been noticing this as of late... its kinda weird. Anyone else seeing this, or I am just be a silly…
Hi I created this image base on an image I saw here on polycount but I want to make deviate from the original so I am gonna ask you guys on how I can improve my work:) thanks in advance! yeah.. it's still WIP :P
Waaaazzzup! 2017 is here and I'm changing this thread into a more "whatever I do and learn thread", of course with 3D as focus. /Kihlstrand EDIT: Reuploaded all the images, smaller in size and optimized as I realized that hadn't done that. The thread should load much faster now. The first images of august 2016 and forth:
Here are some images of a middle-eastern hut I've been working on. I've focused a lot on tiled materials for this project. Most of which have been sculpted in mudbox and baked using xNormal. The images below were captured using marmoset. I used a second UV set for an AO/dirt pass.
Hello! I am thinking of a more tournament-styled helmet for the Agatha Vanguard, something like the image below. Though I haven't decided about the weapon yet. Either some sort of sword or even a spear in the shape of a lance. More images to come. Best regards, Joakim
Photoscan can consume as much as 128GB of RAM in some cases. Learn to optimize your input images by reducing them to a lower resolution and/or cropping your images to fill the frame with just your subject.
I updated the image. Don't know if it was necessary but in my other topic somebody wasn't able to watch my image, so I used the forum-uploader this time. Better safe than sorry ;)
The image you have visible - is that from the texture viewer? If that's the case then you might not be able to fix the poor quality. The view in the texture viewer is just a preview image. It's not supposed to be representative of the final quality in game.
