I agree, maybe this will help illustrate it. I see quite a few smoothing/polygon errors here and there and there isn't much detail there to capture, and what is there will probably be hard to capture when baking. You might have better luck using a stencil or alpha brush and just putting the detail in a sculpt?
Great model!! I think your biggest problem right now is your lighting. Its very yellow (or it's the texture) maybe give the lighting more contrast and throw a blueish back-light in there and the specular-parts look simply white, so it looks more like a texture / display error
snap.crackle.pop - I'm not sure if it's better to have it near or far either, I was just experimenting when I took the screenshot. Ryno,SuperOstrich - The saved image was coming up with the same clipping errors. But it's okay now as LightTracer seems to have fixed it. Do you guys usually turn LightTracer on?
Heya so iv stored a morph target so i can fix up the edges, but the issue i have is when it nears the middle i cant get it to overlap at all. I was wondering if this is just a trial and error thing or if there is a better method for getting nice patterns onto a piece like this (its sci fi Armour)
I am totally new to substance so I am learning and I was wondering , since I made my first model bake in substance and I got normals and other maps, but there are some small errors, can I fix manually directly on the texture map in PS may be and then reimport and keep using it in substance? hi, i would like to know how am i supposed to set hotkeys for actions i do in Unwrap UVW. A post i found was turn on macro recorder and then set it in drag and drop hot key. but it doesn't work and it gives me an error. flatten mapping for instance or group uvw islands any help is thankful.

I'm exporting a car from Max in FBX to Maya. Some parts of the car in Maya just become white with a Phong material, others are the normal gray.
