Hello to the community! My name is Virginie and I have a traditionnal background in art. I have recently decided to broaden my horizon by delving in this digital art.

I will be posting my trials and errors here as I practice lots and lots! Thank you in advance for any feedback! Critique is of course welcome, for i am learning as we speak!

Hey great start!

You maybe want to look on some of the videos of Ctrl+paint.com.
The Author Matt Kohr offers great free (and paid) videos about digital painting.

HE has some great videos about how to render digital paintings which is completly different from how you would work in real life.
Rendering is the keyword you should be looking for.
This could maybe help you to fully use the advantages of Digital Painting instead of sticking to painting like you are used to
