WOW! the game is BRILL! "okay okay. here i go. cons first: - opening cinemtic sequence is looong and arduos. - too many cutscenes, but they're nice to watch, especially trying to catch those visual glitches to unlock achievements - the tutorial is too long, and gets a bit boring. i know its a neccesary evil... but meh. -…
Really solid stuff in general, and I really like the strong banner! Good stuff. ;) Here's a couple of crits that might help: - Having a specific texture tab is cool, but right now it's only renders. It might be cool for people to have access to the breakdown a bit (albedo/roughness/normals/...). - Environment and Prop…
I want my lights to rotate with the camera so I added them as a child to the Camera which works fine when there isn't an animation exported. However once I enable the animation export the lights seem to be unparented from the camera again. Aim is add a nice rim light to a model which of course blows out the back of the…
Another blockout update. Right now im using photo textures from the refs as placeholder till I get to refinement. Re did the lighting and gave the sky an overcast like in the refs. Most building and prop will be based off trim sheets.
Once again, pardon my terrible lighting. I'm still pretty new to rendering in max, and I just have not had the time to set up a decent lighting system. So bear with me. I've started the texturing pass. Looking forward to start lighting up this scene in a decent manner. Right now I'm just using the default scanline renderer…
Dude Jon you are the man! Thank you for the huge amazing crit, I've tried to take into consideration everything you mentioned. Played with the lighting and shadows a lot more, changed the fog around, switched the light direction, and added that overhang. I've set it to bounce twice but I think to get the effect you showed…
hello max opengl/d3d renderer in combination with most 3d-cards only support 8 lights in the max viewport, all further created lights wont affect the scene. you have to render the scene to see them. so as faar as i know there are some "solutions" and workarounds 1. use software renderer .. - bad because i cant switch to…

Hokay, so today I modeled some house bits. Some of their UV's are laid out, but most are still messy. I basically wanted to see if my colour scheme would work. Do you think those colours work together? Bottom right of that image is the wood I'm working on. Not happy with it right now. I think it might be too messy and…
I also thought we help each other know whats best as far as companies? And try to make it better for everyone Daz? Isn't that also what such a community is for? At least I would hope so. "You're promoting something that has the aim of jeapordising the livelihoods of at least 5 or more of us on these boards." Absolutely, as…
