@creation: Ill offer my two cents regarding school and taking a game art course. If you have the motivation to work on projects yourself go ahead. To me school is, meeting people and building connections, easier to get projects done and if you have good teachers, learning some new stuff/methods thats probably not…
I've been having similar issues with Mudbox, every time I switch the type of internet connection (from LAN cable to USB wifi stick for example, when working from the parents' house during summer) it counts as a new machine, and you're only granted 3 activations. Support can reset the installs count but this crap usually…
so steviant you figure that I was referring to skinheads and hooligans. I don't think I said that. I just figure that this guy probably has a lot of connections to do what he does, probably wealthy folks who stand to benefit from his antics. The art world in the uk has never been about changing the status quo, lets face it…
Thanks for your help guys :) I was able to solve the issue by connecting the low poly pieces together again even though it messed up my unwrap a little bit. I had to unwrap the pieces again but nothing too hard. Do you guys have any suggestions on how to unwrap splines that have been converted to editable poly and extruded…
Looks nice, but the lighting IMO is a lil off. I realize you have multiple lightsources, but that huge yellow "sun?" seem to have almost no influence. It would look alot better with more contrast between light and shadow (strong main light, subtle backlight). Atm the spaceship doesnt really connect to the environment ...…
The caravan is floating above the cinder block. The cup-table-thingy seems to be floating aswell. You should add something to connect it to the pipe imo. Other than that I really like your scene. I'd maybe thicken the pole of the baskeball hoop a bit and work some more on a transition between road and sand. Oh and some…
This really gets pushed back into the forums quickly doesn't it. Just updating the thread I'll do this repeatedly throughout its completion. touched the back plating, the spikes and added some skin stretching to the body connection, hope you can see this well enough. To add this is all one subtool, just the eyes and teeth…
It's interesting to see this guy with more than 500 tris now. I loved the low poly you did with this guy, one of the most eye catching pieces in the low poly thread. Only thing I can see wrong with it is the vertex not connected, leaving a 5 sided poly, on the top of the hand. Here: Can't wait to see the final cinematic.…
well i got here after the plane ride it wasnt that bad of a flight and got some more sketches done, i dont have a scanner at this time to show yall but i will try and get one pretty soon.I did several different types of support systems. Bty i hate 56k connections these things are the worst.i'll try and get back with yall…
Loving the body. Not too conviced with the face, definately may want to go back to that. The boots, particularly the soles I'm not too convinced. Could you post an image showing an example of the boots you're doing? Something isn't right with her hands but I can't quite point it out. Mostly to do with your thumb to hand…
