After doing some tests the past few days, it seems that 3dsmax prefers to properly display local space normal maps over tangent space normal maps. Hi 3dsmax 2015 sp2 win 8.1 I know some of you use the max morpher a lot. I cant turn on Use Limits under channel settings. I never had this problem and I want to use blink for eyes wide as well and its generally usefull for variations. Google reveals nothing. Any help appreciated. Thanks

I saw this effect and I really want to reproduce it but I can't figure out how its done. In photoshop you'd call this multiply or overlay or something but all I can find in 3dsmax is just "opacity" and not any options for how something being rendered should affect what's behind it.
