In the previous Maya, the Viewcube's predeccessor would allow you to orient the view as a clone of an orthographic view. This was particularly handy for the bottom, back, and left views. Now, the Viewcube just re-orients the camera but does not enter an ortho view. Does anyone know how to revert to this previous behavior?
I'm trying to render out a normal render Pass with the render pass feature of mental ray, but the normal pass does not use the alpha component of the texture and just calculates the geometry. I'm using standard blinn maya with 32bit tga texures. Any idea how to get this right?
