I gotta say, the model itself matches very well with the provided concept art, bravo! that being said, I think whatever lights you have are too close to the model, cause homeboy is lookin blown OUT. PS I agree with JHOY, them wireframes would be nice. and the skin flaps
Awesome thank for the crit. I will post wireframes, tri-count, textures, and all that good stuff in a couple hours when I get home from work. Then shortly after I will add to the texture:) Would you suggest that I add an additional normal map to give the rust areas more depth?
NICE! Leaps and bounds each time you post! I am really starting to get a sense of the material the pants are made out of. It looks like a thick kind of plastic or canvas. Really good stuff. Glad to see the detail level actually goes up when you shut off the wireframe =)
I'm loving this game...High Moon Studios has just resurrected my childhood - didn't think it could recover after Michael Bay ripped it up and spat on it. If anyone knows where to find model sheets and/or models/wireframes - I'm dying to find them short of calling them up and begging :)
Yes I turbo smoothed the ao version, just that one part I was working on. evenually I will smooth all the parts that need it and I test frequently how the parts will sub divide in zbrush. I just wanted to show my wireframe in the lower poly state so it wasn't so heavy
Pardon for the quite ambiguous design of the Alien, I know it may be leaps of what some may presume to be Alien. Here are some shots of the wireframe: I definitely know that the wires could've been distributed better, feel free to point out exactly what would've been better distributed. Thanks for the critiques.
Hey there guys ! Do you know a way to get clear - good blue prints out of your models, without rendering a wireframe and painting the frames you need over it in photoshop I mean. This is my example as an expected result. -- same strokes, ability to choose perspective etc. Thank you, Adrian
Hey guys, just finished up this scene. would love to hear what you think - critique always welcome. Inspired by the Shadowmoon Orc clan in World of Warcraft. Rendered in UE4. If you want to see anything specific (wireframes, textures, etc.) let me know. My ArtStation https://youtu.be/anLfeaaw2nA
Hey guys this is my first 3ds max model as well as my first post here on polycount. im currently working on a high poly lightpost. let me know what you guys think about the wireframes as well as how i displayed my WIP. The majority of the parts are seperate with the inner faces deleted.
Did a bit of trawling on Artstation for official character art. Not seeing any wireframes for reference, but if you look closely you can get a sense of level of detail. If I had to guess, I'd say around 15 to 20k triangles for LOD0, much less for the more distant LODs. https://www.artstation.com/artwork/4XRDNq…
