Hi there! Trying to keep my job search feelers out but I feel like I have loads to improve on before I can turn some heads. Any tips/techniques/tutorials you kind people can share my way? Here is my Artstation. Thanks. -Ara
Hi! Sorry if that was asked a lot. I need a formula to convert 0-1 linear(which is used in material sliders like 3ds Max,...) like 0.7 into Photoshop sRgb(0-255), what is used in PS histogram. I need that for non color maps, like roughness. I don't know if the correct formula is x(linear)*255, or do I need to factor in…
I am getting aliasing between 2 circular shells, here is the model (in SP): This is the UVs in SP: The exported textures look like this: Note the green has transferred over to the pink and vice versa, creating the aliasing effect you see in the first image. You can manually fix this in Photoshop: To get a result that looks…
revisited the isoline idea from earlier in the thread - it now has crappy hidden line removal i like having loops the graph itself got a bit wordy but im happy to share if it's of interest to anyone And then if you fiddle a bit more you can get something resembling a solid surface - it looks weirdly like the zbrush…
Hi Folks, A new update of my fan project Star Wars - Redemption is here, and this 2.7 brings new cool things to the demo. Improved lighting on Mevenn, this goes from a very simple thing (to the point I don't get why I didn't make it earlier). Simply put a spotlight dedicated only to light Mevenn in her blueprint. Without…
Seems like viewing object space normal maps in marmoset already works ok, so it would be really nice to get the option to paint/edit them in the painting tools. Doesn't seem like there's anyway to do that currently unless I'm missing something. At least not in a way were you can get a live preview of their effect.
Hello again! I reworked the blocking of the interior a bit to have a better idea of the assets still needed: - I added an inset on the back wall for the bathroom door, as well as some more lighting in this area, - Some more wall decor and a coat hanger next to the door, - Lights, a menu, shelves and some clutter in the…
i feel like i just read something here about using a second uv channel for mask. like edge mask, wear mask, etc. I have no idea if that is major difference in terms of workflow or optimization, just mentioning because it wasn't already.
gotcha so it is a large architectural piece? And made of concrete or stone or something like that? If that is the case my first instinct would be to not merge them at all, rather leave the columns as individual units that can be used in a modular way but if you have to merge them do like benjamin said and perhaps increase…
So i try to render sequence in PNG format. Frames looks very good but looks like my pc can render faster coz it only use 20% of GPU and CPU. How can i set up Marmoset for more efficient use of hardware? Ryzen 5 2600, GTX 1660 ti 6GB, ddr4 32 GB, ssd m.2 samsung 960 evo, psu 600w Edit: iam717 give this link to the guide in…
