I actually use pidgin for IRC for the most part. I used to use xchat,but its more convenient for me to use a single app. -

I think the closest you'll get to that is the IRC channel. A Skype group for answering people's tech questions in realtime seems like a pretty long-shot idea :P -

Armanguy: We used to have "3d fightclubs" on Polycount where a few people talked on IRC, chose a time and a subject and whoever produced the better model in the time won.
