hey everyone. I'm having a small problem in maya 8 at the moment. My scale, move and rotate tools are all way too big to use them normally. (if i want to rotate properly i have to do it in the top view so i can see the red line for example) any ideas how to make my tool sise normal again? thanks.
I am working with some people who are modeling in Maya. They export as both OBJ and FBX and I open it in 3ds max to unwrap and texture. The model has random black lines covering it and in vertex mode I can see all the vertex for the model and not just the ones facing me. I would like model to show up as normal. Any ideas…

Hi, this is driving me crazy. I have a mesh that is named "Model__321". How do I query that name? When I do `ls -sl`; Maya also (inconveniently) returns the above group name to which this object is apart of: Group__127|Model__321 I only want the Model__321 part. How is that possible?
