Hello all knowing community of polycount...
So I just got a copy of XSI and I'm trying to figure it out. Normally I use Maya so i'm wondering if anyone could explain to me some of the differences, or point me in the direction of a good/current beginners guide to XSI. I found some decent stuff around the web, but thought I'd check in with you guys as well.

If you use the standard keyboard shortcut, use the S key and you use your mouse like you do in Maya with the ALT Key.
Use the ALT key + right click on a object to get a menu with the primary tools.
You can add the a custom toolbar (shelf) to access quickly to the basic shape (cube, cylinder, and so one), look into the menu on the left-top.
My favorite tool : the duplicate tool who works like the extrude tool : select a face or an edge, CTRL+D et voil
