A quick shot at making some Lava Rocks! Modeled in 3DSMax, Sculpted in Zbrush, and textured using the Quixel Suite. Rendered in Marmoset Toolbag. https://www.artstation.com/artwork/XDNWL Let me know what you think!
Hi Polycounters, i present this model i'm working in mi free time, i want all comments & reviews necessary. what do you think of the topology i work to 3dsmax full.
I have used 3dsmax and maya since 2002 ish, so I am not really a Blender fan boy, but it is pretty solid these days and I am sure will go from strength to strength. I use it most of the time, but try and keep up to date with maya also, since both the Arnold and vray addons for blender do not really work last time I looked…
3ds Max 2023 includes a glTF Material, you should be using it. This material has controls for Alpha Mode, and mimics glTF rendering, in the Max viewport. https://help.autodesk.com/view/3DSMAX/2023/ENU/?guid=GUID-7ABFB805-1D9F-417E-9C22-704BFDF160FA
Personal work. High poly model done with zbrush and 3dsmax. Rendered in Keyshot. About 25h of work captured and squeezed into a little bit more than hour timelapse. Timelapse: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mugbbtlkFZg
Hello community, i have an issue with normalmap baking using the projection in 3dsmax. I´m using an highpoly model and an lowpoly model with the uvw coordinates. After the rendering the normal map looks screwed :( What could be the reason for this issue?
.. o Don Tancredo el verdugo, in spanish.:poly124: Inspired a by a character from an old argentinean comic magazine. It was about Week of work... just for fun. Soft: 3dsmax+Zbrush+PS+Artrage+Meshlab Crits always welcome:thumbup:
Can anyone recommend an app that'll take a screen shot at set intervals? Ideally something that can be locked to 3dsmax too so I don't end up with screenshots of me being distracted by Youtube inbetween working.

Thanks everyone! Kryzon, perhaps a bit unorthodox, I used 3dsMax to block out the basic look and motion and then built up the pixel art on top of that.
