dunno if this has been posted before... but; 3d museum it features loads of different skulls from different animals, and you can view them using a look up of their familys and genus, and you can move them about in 3d, which is pretty cool. just thought it might be of interest to people Manic
I think in the near term the biggest problem with quality 3D ai generated models is the crazy data requirement. It's one thing to correctly predict 1 pixel rgb color at a time for a 2 demensional color output. A 2d pixel output is 1 rgb color. To correctly predict a pixel of a 3D model you'll need to predict the depth,…
Looking for immediate paid help with optimizing existing 3D model assets for a VR game. We had some 3D models provided to us which are utterly raw and non-optimized. We need the models optimized for VR and prefab ready to be put into a Unity project. About us: we develop games in Unity and need an extra hand to help us…
Hello everyone, I’m a coder and I do a little bit of 3d on the side. I’ve been writing a piece of 3d software for a while now and I’d like some input from you guys. I hope this is ok to post here :) What are the shortcomings of the software packages you use according to your experience? What kind of features have you…
Is there any way to bring a model that was modeled and unwrapped in 3ds Max into ZBrush, and keep the UV layout from 3ds Max? If there is, please share how!
I got the file that you PM'ed me. I'm using 3ds Max 2014 with Service Pack 5 and I don't see this issue. Everything is lined up as soon as I open the file. I noticed you said you were using Max 2012. Do you have the latest service pack? For me 2012 was one of the most broken versions of 3ds Max ever released. As evidenced…

I think the term you're looking for is 2.5D (as in a space, like 2D or 3D). It usually means when you use some technique to give the illusion that the 2D has depth, whether this is through sophisticated warping or by combining the 2D sprite with a 3D scene, but some people also like to use it to refer to on-rails 3D games…
Thanks for your answer! I have a few problems, the "degree" that i want to study, isn't an 100% official school, like an university would be. It's just 2 years of 3D learning and other things like drawing for 3D etc That would count as an degree? The other problem is that i can't pay my studies outside my country i would…
3D sound = Amazing. 3D TV's = Cool at first, losses interest very quickly. When people make 2D glasses to counteract the 3D effect and massive headaches I think it failed.
