I did one of these 6 months or so ago for a lantern. Here is a pic of my version, I ended up extruding every other face along that ring then adding 1 support loop.
3 of the 6 main heroes uploaded to SketchFab [SKETCHFAB]9947a1f3cc404652850ae7056b580e97[/SKETCHFAB] The characters were packed using PackerPro and grabbed straight out of the game running inside Unity. Here is a shot of the packed texture:
This jogged my memory a bit. Andy Murdock did some MIDI work with 3ds Max a while back. Check out the Feb 6 entry here. http://www.lotsofrobots.com/Web3/Lab_Movies1.htm
My 9800gtx handles everything just fine, no need to upgrade that. Wondering when we'll be seeing 6 core intel cpus for decent prices though (or 8 core whenever those come out).
Maybe look for Nvidia drivers from 6-7 months ago? Check the Clean Install box under Advanced settings. I'm using 306.97 on a Nvidia GTX 560 Ti and they work fine.
I think your problem is more to do with where the SceneCaptureCubeMapActor is positioned. It is going to start capturing 6 faces from that position.. I also think if this is for the floor, you would be better of using SceneCapture2DActor
Thanks man, I scaled them up a bit. DAY 6 Reworked the pauldrons. Added the clothes on the front side. Changed the thighs plates. Started the details ( had a lot of trouble with the "star" on the pauldron... )
Thx alot Esbjörn!. Really glad you like my stuff. meens alot. yeah the designs in watchman is awesome, and Yep! the character in post #6 also has a rough 3D model as a base. =)
That is looking nice, but where is the white gap that has the "ZZ 01" written on it? also try and make the safety pin with 6 sides and adjust smoothing angle, it seems like it has too many polygons
yeah there will be a lot of things to fix.. I used photo ref for the figure I have so far.. I'm going for a taller build.. like 6 foot ish, with the build of a boxer or MMA fighter
