Hello all.. So... My Idea: Build a round library ('Mage's Emporium') My Issue: I'm trying to base my general shape off the Parliament Library build in Canada - beautiful building. Anyway, As you can see from the picture this involves, very basically; a normal wall bookcase (or 4 small ones), then 2 bookcases sticking out,…
I don't know if this is a good practice, but can more than two faces share an edge? Like in this picture- I've tried doing something like that for one of my models, because there are only a few faces that need to overhang from an edge. Normally I would make a plane as a separate object and snap the vertices to the other…
We have one of two models that have already been created that need to be modified for our needs: 1) Head needs to be separated. Either a separate mesh or a separate material. As long as the skin is still connected properly when it's visible for sake of animations2) Take out existing weapons and props3) Blend Shapes for…
So, Lets just say i've got a cube and i insert it normally it would follow the rim of the object but lets say i want to insert another shape say like a rectangle or circle how would one do that without resorting to manual methods.
Hi! Looks cool overall! Some critiques: Much free UV space. For shapes like this that follow an axis (long), you could consider a 1:2 texture ratio. If you stick to a 1:1 ratio, I would still try to maximize the UV space. Another way to maximize UV space would be to mirror parts of the model. Appearance is rather lowpoly,…
Like the subtle glow better, and the faded gears. The last three flats layouts are too confusing and hide too much of your work. The first of those four is the best layout. You could use that last 1/4 of the image to add something, maybe a shot of the shader, or another wireframe. Doesn't make sense to include the height…
I have been searching over some informations on internet how to make world of warcraft or wow-like style models and textures. I could not find public documents or .pdf files that are officially published by Blizzard. For example - Steam has official .PDF file and tutorials for their Dota2 models, textures even shaders.…
This is stacked leather texture, and it is coated. I am struggling with vein shape, I tried using voronoi and stretching it but didnt work, or I couldnt nail it. How can i approach this ?
I tried everything (resetting parameter, adjusting any obvious settings etc.), the output is simply black no matter what I do. What am I doing wrong? ref: https://docs.substance3d.com/sddoc/shape-splatter-172819773.html EDIT: also seeing these in console, have no idea why
