Hello guys, I am working on some modular stuff inside UE4. I have managed to create material, which I would like to apply to most static meshes. Now the texture itself is just a plane. It is altough created and baked in substance painter. Now I did create a master material in UE4, which isn't so heavy taking into account…
Hey, Started making some models again just for fun. Not really planning on getting anything into the game. More of a practicing exercise I guess. I get this problem when I'm importing my model into the game, it looks as if the texture is warped at one place and I can't find out why. I have double and triple checked my UV's…
Hi everyone, It's been quite a while since my last post here, I just wanted to share this free photoscanned tileable textures I made to get some practice with the techniques. I hope they are useful to any of you, let me know what you think, as I said this was kind of a learning process :) Download: https://gum.co/zCgVW…
Hi all, I am a bona fide noob with 3DS Max. I am going through a lot of beginner tutorials. At the same time I also downloaded a city scene just to see how something complex would look before rendering. I notice the roads, a few buses, and one building are textured, but everything else is without texture. The image maps…
Heya! Been working on this for the past two days, the infamous grass texture! It's mostly unique with some repeating elements to speed up the process, painting grass straws is really fricken boring. I'm at a bit of a loss, in hindsight I wish I painted in stronger shadows and I'm reluctant to go filter crazy on it, it…
I'm looking for someone capable of making good hand painted textures. I want to redo all models from a game prototype, and it needs a solid style, similar to those examples: http://www.ryanmurraydigital.com/uploads/4/7/6/5/4765382/2854256_orig.jpg…
Hey guys, I'm kinda stuck at the moment, and was wondering if anyone had any advice on this.. How do you guys go about picking your colors when you are texturing an object or character? right now I am working on a weapon but I got to the texturing part and my mind just goes blank and I feel like ass, so I just place down…
I'm a 3D/Texture Artist currently located in Malta. I specialise in: - High and low poly modelling with 3dsmax or Maya - Stylised or realistic art style - Sculpting with Zbrush - UV unwrapping - Texture baking and painting with Photoshop. Looking for short-term contract work (3-6 months), or relocated employment.
I did some testing on the new Unity "Crunched" texture compression option. The results are really fantastic and I thought others might want to see them. The game I am working on is system memory limited by our lack of texture streaming and support for 32bit machines so this is a huge help.
Hello polycount, first post! I am trying to pick up texturing, especially low-poly models. I would call it a certain style, but I have no name for it. You mostly see it in MMORPG/Fantasy theme games. Examples: - Image - Image - Image - Image slipgatecentral (Link) and his wife firstkeeper (Link) show some nice input on…
