I really like what you're doing here, but that roof isn't working for me. It reads kinda sharp with the edges and corners the way they are. I love pretty much everything else.
The tape on the roof of the car gave it away. I might do one of those picture quotes as well. Should have something when I get home from work. -caseyjones
Greetings all, it's 1 in the morning and I just can't get to sleep. I was just thinking about (Nerd incoming) emmersion and role playing. I started watching the LOTR box set again and it made me want to start role playing and 'loose myself' in some epic story. I remember once, years ago, I was in a chat room and, in a…
I just modeled and textured a roof that needs to be made deeper. If I scale the object in one axis the texture starts stretching. Is there a way around this? To have the texture automatically start tiling instead of stretching with my edits? Thanks.
Yo, this is dope. The shape of the giant log on the bottom sells it. The straw roof is really well done. Can I ask how many polygons you got in here? Super beautiful x10!!
Keeping an eye on this. Wondering how you placed the ribbs on to the roof shape in modo? First thought you used line extrude, but that makes the mesh feel really off...mesh constraints maybe?
Quick update: Haven't managed to do loads today because of work but i did raise the ceiling a little bit and lightmap the roof ribs properly and added a little exta bit to them
Struggling with the texture a bit! Just not feeling it yet, and having trouble with the brushes not blending (but that is probably just me) - however, it's starting to come together. I am looking forward to getting to that tiled roof!
Very cute asset with a consistent art style, only thing I can think of is to add a bit of variety in the roof plates(the texture). And perhaps the bricks need some variety in colour as well.
