Just wanted to say yes it is pretty damn powerful for playing around with forms if you can get the tools to play nice & do what you want them to do when you have them all in place & if you might wanted to exaggerate them together later on for instance, for fun or stylizing purposes. Liking all the Écorché. Welcome back &…
I've seen this done in engine l. it was basically like klunk describes but we were generating textures and using material overrides for the viewmode rather than encoding anything into the mesh(cos that gets used for other stuff) Imo it's a bit of a waste of time. You can't use the GPU to get a good representation and it's…
Well, as the voting shows, 2/3 have not gotten work from just making their own portfolio thread. That tells me this section alone is not a direct generator of work leads. You can't just make a page and expect the work to flow in. Instead you need to seek your clients directly and actively. To that end here are the proven…
Plutonium is now leaking into the soil and ocean. Things are only getting worse. I agree that the media has blown things out of proportion, but with things only getting worse, and with Fukushima having 1,000 more tons of fuel rods than Chernobyl had (plus 5 more reactors, granted 2 out of the 6 reactors are being cooled…
Graduating from school this week so I finally have time to get back into modeling stuff! I did this little thing to brush up on my map baking. I would love some critiques because I still don't know how much I can get away with, taking out detail in the low poly.. I just bought Substance Painter as well, so I am eager to…
My PC just died on me today so I wanted to get some ideas on what new PC I should buy. I don't want to build one just yet because I'm new to that and i'm in a hurry to get a project done, so I need something ready made. I heard Workstations are the PC's to get for game artists. If anyone has any suggestions i would be…
Ohhh damn. Love me some GiTS. I understand the metal wear and tear, but my personal opinion would be to not have it on the "eyes". The back cab should have some traffic damage since people get in and out of there.
Hello all, As title suggested, I'm just getting back to the groove of making models again. I wanted to get an opinion from everyone on my work in progress I've got so far. Also I have a question in regards to making the sharpen part of the blade, I've used the arrows to indicate the 2 large plane changes on the concept art…
As already said: for a flat floor using a gradient is.. not really possible.. but when your tiles got some ramdom elevation.. (here not using some UV's but "directly" the object coordinates).. then they get some "difference int the appearance.
